Product Description

Haiti’s favorite dessert has never been so accessible to all. Made from traditional white potato and dried using the most delicate drying techniques.  This Pain Patate mix include the spices that add the perfect Haitian touch. Just add sugar, coconut milk, regular milk, and banana.  The convenience of this product will blow your mind.

You will need to buy separately : coconut milk, regular milk, brown sugar, banana, and vanilla.  Some of these ingredients can also be found on our website

Anyone can now make mouth watering Pain patate desserts.  You can had you own spin to the recipe by adding raisin, and serving it with whip cream, or even ice cream.

Haitian food is always rich in flavor, Pain patate is not an exception.  However, you can use less of the spices provided in the mix.

What to eat with it ?

In Haiti, Pain patate is eaten by itself traditionally. However, in North America, I cannot imagine eating Pain Patate without ice cream or cool whip. It is like a combination made from somewhere out of this world.

How to prepare it ?

Preparation time : 5 minutes

Cooking time : 20 minutes

Baking time : 20-30 minutes

1 cup Neliquick patate douce (as sold)

1 bag Neliquick spice mix (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger)

You will need to get separately :

1 cup milk

1 cup Coconut milk

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 small banana

1/2 Tablespoon vanilla

2 Tablespoons raisins (optional)

1/2 Tablespoon butter (optional but help prevent stickiness to the pan)

Add Neliquick sweet potato, add spice mix, milk, and coconut milk in a pan on low heat for 20 minutes. Add all other ingredients.  Cook for another 10 minutes. Rub a small piece of butter inside a baking pan. Pour the mixture in.  Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes. The more you bake it, the dryer it gets. Let cool. Then, put in the refrigerator before serving.

Warning : Pain patate is not shelf-stable.  Therefore, if you are not going to consume it immediately, store it in the fridge.
